INFJs come in different variations. One of them is the INFJ 1w9.
Here, we’ll talk more about who the INFJ 1w9 is and what you can expect from them.
INFJ 1w9s are idealists and perfectionists. They strive to be the best version of themselves. This need often extends to their careers and other aspects of their lives.
Type 1 is a fairly common enneagram type for INFJs because of its idealistic tendencies. INFJ 4s might also resonate with type 1 as this is what they resemble in growth.
However, the presence of type 9 as a wing will distort some of the typical traits of the INFJ as we shall soon see.
INFJ 1w9s are more likely to be INFJ-A than INFJ-T.
The core desire of the INFJ 1w9 is to be good and do what is right. To achieve this, this personality type places a lot of emphasis on maintaining their values.
The core fear of the INFJ 1w9 is to be seen as morally corrupt and a bad person. Because they have a type 9 wing, they might want to remain at peace with others.
INFJs have traces of perfectionistic streaks. However, INFJ 1w9s take it to another level. They are perfectionists to the core.
This cuts across all areas of their lives. Their perfectionistic tendencies also mean that they are usually very organized and neat.
INFJ 1w9s set very high standards for themselves and strive to meet them.
INFJ 1w9s have very strong values. These values develop over time and have a strong role in how they live.
While this is true, the extent of their fixation on their values is dependent on their wing.
If they have a strong wing, they become a bit complacent and are willing to compromise in some areas. If their wing is weak, they become fanatical about their values.
This follows the last point. Because of their high values, they usually also have high morals. These high morals might be a lot more pronounced if they are religious.
This makes the INFJ 1w9s more interested in doing the right thing. They can become very troubled or disheartened if they believe they are intentionally being immoral.
INFJs are not the most action-driven. In fact, they are infamous for being chronic procrastinators. However, INFJ 1w9s are different.
They will be more driven to find results. This is because of their high standards and perfectionism.
They won’t just sit around and expect it to happen.
Their love for doing the right thing makes them desirous of justice. Thus, many INFJ 1w9s might become activists and human rights advocates.
This also allows them to do very well in the legal industry. Fighting for justice feels right to them. So, you’ll bet they will enjoy every second of it.
INFJs are interested in people. This is heightened with the INFJ 1w9. Type 1s are interested in helping people. Type 9 are interested in people and being at peace with them.
Thus, you get a personality type that pays close attention to people’s needs, emotions, and preferences.
INFJ 1w9s are also likely to do well in career paths that require constant human interaction.
Type 1 has very high standards. This is also present in the INFJ 1w9. Because they have a type 9 wing, they might not meet all their goals.
This can lead to self-criticism. INFJ 1w9s might get very mad at themselves. This might affect their self-esteem and confidence.
In worst-case scenarios, it can lead to mental health problems.
The presence of type 9 means that INFJ 1w9s prefer to maintain peace. So, they might reach compromises with others. Type 1 also wants to help people wherever they can. This will lead to more compromises.
So, it’s possible for an INFJ 1w9 to be a people-pleaser. However, it will not be as bad as INFJ 9w1. When it also comes to their core values, there’s very little you can do to change their minds.
Anger is ever-present in INFJ 1w9s. Type 1 internalizes this anger. This makes them more self-critical. They pour out this anger on unsuspecting people. Type 9 is more likely to suppress this anger.
This might sound great on the surface. However, it can be a complete disaster when they are done enduring.
The result is a personality type that can put people on edge when unhealthy or pissed.
Because of their idealistic views and deep commitment to their morals, INFJ 1w9s struggle to think outside the box.
They also tend to see things as black and white, bad and good, or us versus them. To them, they might be no room for common ground on many issues.
This trait can inhibit their growth and development. It can also keep them isolated from friends and family.
Money is a huge part of people’s lives and the INFJ 1w9 is no different. INFJs are known to place less emphasis on money, but make a lot of emotional purchases. This is heightened by type 9’s indifference towards money.
Type 1, on other hand, is more likely to be worried about their finances. Just like with other aspects of their lives, they approach their finances with very high expectations.
They are more also likely to save. Thus, INFJ 1w9 will have a strong inclination toward saving and budgeting. However, they will not achieve the perfection they crave.
Their efforts will be littered with emotional purchases and a bit of complacency.
