ENTJ are the executives of the MBTI typology. They are known for their innovativeness and their no-nonsense approach to issues. If you want to manage a business effectively, then the ENTJ is probably the best person to call. This personality type can be divided into two subtypes. These are the ENTJ-A and the ENTJ-T.

Here, we are going to focus more on the ENTJ-T. If you want to know more about the ENTJ-A, you can click that link. Let’s get started.

Who is the ENTJ-T?

This is the turbulent ENTJ. They are more laid back and less assertive than other ENTJs. This attitude shows in their lifestyle and their decision-making.

You should understand that ENTJ-A and ENTJ-T do not have any differences in their cognitive functions. The only difference between these sub-types is in their manner of approaching situations.

What are ENTJ-Ts Like?

1.      Introverted Extroverts

ENTJs, in general, are extroverts. However, an ENTJ-T is always going to be an introverted extrovert. Most people who do not know the ENTJ-T might mistake them for an INTJ.

ENTJ-Ts value their alone time much more than other ENTJs.

2.      Emotions

ENTJs are not especially good with emotions. In fact, they find it hard to understand it at all. So, ENTJs generally do not consider emotions or feelings important when making important decisions.

This is slightly different with the ENTJ-T. ENTJ-Ts are more likely to have feelings. These feelings can often be negative. Thus, ENTJ-Ts will often doubt themselves when pursuing a project or deciding on the next course of action.

3.      Dealing with Stress

ENTJ-Ts often have a hard time dealing with stress. When they are under stressful situations or immense pressure, it can reduce their ability to handle complicated tasks.

Thus, they might become easily irritated or lash out angrily. Simply put, handling stress or pressure is not their strongest area.

4.      Enneagram Types

The majority of ENTJs often type themselves as type 8 or type 3 in the enneagram. The same applies to ENTJ-Ts. However, when ENTJs are type 8, they are more likely to have a type 9 as a wing.

When they are type 3, they are more likely to have a type 4 as a wing.

5.      More Considerate and Sensitive

As earlier stated, ENTJs are not the best when dealing with emotions. However, ENTJ-Ts are more likely to be considerate and sensitive than ENTJ-As.

Thus, they may have fewer issues confronting people or dealing with people’s emotional outbursts. This is because ENTJ-Ts are more in touch with their feeling than other ENTJs.

This can be a good or a bad thing. ENTJ-Ts are more likely to understand other people. On the other hand, they are also more vulnerable to negative emotions.

6.      Self-Image

ENTJ-Ts are more likely to care about their self-image. Thus, they might pay more attention to the way they dress or how they are perceived by others.

Thus, while ENTJs are not necessarily people-pleasers, ENTJ-Ts have a greater chance of succumbing to this problem.

7.      Diplomatic

ENTJ-Ts are diplomatic people. While this is true, this does not mean that they do not possess the power traits of the ENTJ.

Instead, ENTJ-Ts seem to have a lot of inner or quiet strength. However, most ENTJ-Ts will want to keep the peace first before anything else. So, you can expect them to be a lot calmer and less assertive.

8.      Less Decisive

ENTJs, in general, are known for being super decisive. That is one reason why they seem to achieve a lot of things in a short period.

However, ENTJ-Ts will not be as decisive. They are more likely to consider not just the facts but how it affects people and other external factors.

This can be a good thing as ENTJ-Ts will often make a decision that is accepted by everyone.

ENTJ-T and Dating

ENTJ-Ts are very independent people. They are also very direct. Thus, you can expect this when dealing with an ENTJ-T. They are going to be straightforward about how they feel and expect the same gesture.

If you are planning to date or are dating an ENTJ-T, here are some things you should know.

·         ENTJ-T and Compatibility

The natural partners of the ENTJ-T are the INTP-A or the ISTP-A. They are often compatible with the INFP and INFJ.

However, any two mature people can make a relationship work with enough commitment.

·         Supportive

ENTJ-Ts are supportive people. They go hard for their family and friends. So, if you are in a relationship with an ENTJ-T, you can be sure they have your back.

They will be your number one fan and help you reach your targets.

·         Great Listeners

While ENTJ-As are more assertive and want their will to stand, ENTJ-Ts are a bit softer and diplomatic. Thus, they can often listen to their partner carefully when trouble arises.

This makes their partner feel heard and appreciated.

·         Direct Style of Communication

If you are someone who finds it hard to express yourself, you might have some trouble with this type. ENTJ-Ts are still ENTJs in the end.

So, they will want a direct style of communication. They are also not very patient with people who beat around the bush.

For personality types such as ISFJ and ISFP who sometimes struggle to process their thoughts, this might be a deal-breaker.

·         Physical Touch

ENTJs are very sexual people. ENTJ-Ts are no different. Thus, physical touch is absolutely incredible to them.

So, don’t hesitate to be a bit more touchy with your ENTJ. They’ll love you even more.

Struggles ENTJ-Ts face in relationships

·         Blunt

ENTJ-Ts while being more diplomatic, are still incredibly blunt. This seems to be more apparent when it’s someone that they actually care about.

To most ENTJs, it’s either they tell you exactly how it is or they don’t tell you at all. When dealing with sensitive feeler types, this can be a big problem.

Their partner might even feel that they are always under attack.

·         Drained

ENTJs only want to be around people or things that make them progress. So, if they feel that their partner just isn’t making any progress in their lives, the relationship can become draining to them.

ENTJ-Ts are big on commitment. So, before they end a relationship, know that they have a very valid reason.

ENTJ-T and Career Options

ENTJ-Ts are great with managerial roles. Because they are more diplomatic than other ENTJs, they often make better leaders than their counterparts.

Most people who work with ENTJ-Ts often feel inspired by them. The best role for an ENTJ-T is one that allows them to be innovative while remaining in control of the situation.
